Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Aspen Hospice team.   All volunteers are trained to assist with hospice care whether it is making personal visits or phone calls, sitting with the patient to give the caregivers a break, finding needed community resources, assisting with administrative projects at the office,  and most of all, listening and sharing thoughts and feelings.

Volunteering at Aspen Hospice is a rewarding endeavor.  Individuals from various walks of life offer their time and talents to serve the patients and families that we serve.  A typical volunteer is anything but “typical”!  We enjoy the diverse backgrounds of our volunteers and appreciate the varied insights their lives and life histories provide.  Just as we view our patients as completely unique, so too, are our volunteers.  Each person brings the fullness of their personal history (and oftentimes their professional history) into the experience of volunteering for Aspen Hospice.
